Wedding Colors in Warm Grey & Yellow

It's Pinteresting Tuesday! Last week my dearest cousin, and one of my closest friends, told me she's getting married on 9.10.11. Isn't that clever? She'll never forget her wedding anniversary. She asked if I would be a bridesmaid, and select the color for the bridesmaid dresses. Just the dresses? Our conversation was becoming a bit fuzzy as I started this color inspiration board for her entire wedding! Oops! And it will be one of many boards over the coming weeks.

The first place I went for wedding inspiration was Pinterest, which is why I can't pick just one color palette for my her September wedding.  Imagine these soft fluttery whites, warm greys, yellows and golds presented at a beachfront ceremony offering up a beautiful contrast to the blues in the ocean and sky. I can't get enough of the large petal flowers on the cake, dress,  and as a hairpiece...so soft and feminine.  I hope you enjoy my very first wedding themed board!

  5. Thanks, ladies! So I talked to my cousin today, and "we're" going in a completely different design direction for her wedding. The wedding will be on the beach at sunset. My cousin loves color, asian vintage styling and hollywood/rock n' roll glam. SOOOOO, this board is FAR from her wedding personality. I'm working on a new board right now...more to come, dearies!

  7. Oh I love this! Everything you've chosen is just so soft and pretty and flowing, everything a wedding should be IMO! The colors are beautiful, and that cake blows me away!
